The firm served as buyer's counsel for Acuity Brands Lighting Inc., one of the world's leading providers of lighting fixtures and related products and services, in its acquisition of substantially all of the assets of Mark Lighting, Inc., a New Jersey-based manufacturer of lighting products. The purchase gave the client a strong presence in the Northeast, particularly the New York City metropolitan area, and complemented its recently opened sales and marketing office in New York City. The firm provided a complete spectrum of services to the client in connection with the purchase, including advisory services for environmental law, real estate, intellectual property, and labor and employment matters.
