Represented a general contractor in arbitration with a hospital medical center, which terminated the contractor for default on a major hospital expansion project in downtown Los Angeles. Over a period of three years, Kilpatrick attorneys were lead counsel for more than 100 days of arbitration hearings in Los Angeles. The contractor’s claim for damages was approximately $10 million, and the hospital’s counterclaim exceeded $35 million. The panel awarded the contractor approximately $8.5 million and denied the hospital’s claim in its entirety.
