John C. Alemanni concentrates his practice in intellectual property law, with a primary focus on patent litigation, intellectual property strategy and licensing, and patent portfolio management and prosecution. He works with both established and emerging companies. Mr. Alemanni is a registered patent attorney and practices in a wide range of technologies, including application and operating system software, computer peripheral devices and control methods, haptics, network security, bioinformatics, e-commerce, telecommunications and electronics.
Mr. Alemanni assists companies with a variety of intellectual property matters, including analyzing asserted patents and accused technology to determine litigation strategy, establishing patent programs and committees, analyzing patents held by competitors, conducting freedom to practice analysis, providing written opinions, negotiating and drafting license agreements, drafting patent applications and prosecution, and patent portfolio management.
Before joining the firm, he owned and managed a computer consulting firm, as well as a web hosting firm. Besides managing the company, he performed various consulting roles, such as client-server and web-enabled application development and system integration, including custom browser-based user interfaces for PeopleSoft and SAP.
