Robert Brown focuses his practice in the area of real estate, finance and capital markets, including representation of major banks and loan servicers in connection with a full range of real estate and securitization issues and related transactions. Mr. Brown regularly represents clients with respect to the disposition of real estate, commercial leasing matters, zoning and land use regulations, easements, survey analysis, title policy negotiation, condemnations, collateral reconfigurations, releases and substitutions, cash management, letters of credit, loan originations, assumptions, transfers of ownership interests, preferred equity investments, restructurings and mergers, commercial mortgage defeasances, pre-negotiation/non-disclosure agreements, loan sale transactions, loan modifications and workouts, receiverships and foreclosures and various consent requests. In addition, Mr. Brown regularly advises clients in connection with entity formation and structuring issues, as well as the acquisition and disposition of these entities and their related assets.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Brown was an associate in the corporate and banking and finance groups of a large law firm in Birmingham, Alabama, where he concentrated on general corporate matters, real estate and secured lending transactions.
